MPI Morheat has recently added Expandable / Split Sheath Cartridge Heaters to our product line!
There are a couple of main reasons why you might want to try Expandable / Split Sheath Cartridge Heaters for your application:
- Tight contact with bores eliminates air gaps and increases the life of the heater
- Can be used in oversized or worn out bores without eliminating heater life
- The heater contacts when it cools down for faster removal
- There is no cold section at the tip of the heater unlike conventional cartridge heaters
- They are more efficient than standard cartridge heaters and therefore use less power
- There is a uniform temperature profile along the entire heater due to their construction
