MPI Morheat Cast Heaters have proven to be the most effective method for heating and cooling the barrels of plastic-processing extruders. They are highly efficient and provide thousands of hours of dependable, trouble-free service.
MPI offers Cast Heaters with liquid and/or air cooling functions.
In the liquid cooling system, shaped tubing is incorporated into heater assembly, creating a passage for processing water or heat transfer solutions to dissipate the heat. For the air cooling function, numerous fins are cast to the O.D. surface of the band.
